I’m here! It’s exhilarating, breathtaking, exciting and nerve-racking. I’ve missed you all and hope you didn’t miss me as much. It was so strange not blogging for two weeks.

Well, I’m settled into my dorm. It’s quaint. Small. A bit different from what I’m usually used to. But living arrangements is really not that big of a deal for me. For me, people make places and the people here are incredible. I feel like a nerd at chess camp. Totally found my people! It’s been so nice to hang out with fellow peers and engage in political banter over some brews. That’s a fun Thursday night for me.

I’ve started classes and they are what I expected. Challenging and exciting. All my courses are related to the Middle East, and in light of recent events, I’ve found the content and discussions to be engaging!

I haven’t had much time to explore just yet because I’ve been getting used to my schedule. The first week I was in Scotland, my dad and I flew into London and spent time figuring out banking, cell phones, and all the regular administrative things to do when you move abroad. We took the train from London to St Andrews and got myself situated in my dorm. Orientation week was exhausting. I had a very sporadic schedule, I was tired, meeting new people, getting situated, and I can go on and on.

So now that I’m here and settled down, I thought I would start blogging again starting today! There is just one thing, since the work load of my daily life has greatly increased compared to the last several months, I thought I would let you know of the one and only change you will see on c&é. I won’t be blogging daily. I will let you know that I have drafted some posts before I left! I’ll be sharing more of my personal life through photographs, experiences and stories. I really think these are changes for the better.

So now, more importantly, how much have you missed me?!
