comfortable with where I am

I stepped into 2017 with all these exciting goals and plans for my business and this blog and there’s nothing more exciting than seeing things coming together ever so quickly. Speaking to my parents yesterday was very gratifying after my trip to Venice. I made the “mistake” of telling them that I felt very comfortable with where I am in life, where I live now, and with my new life. This is a very new feeling for me as I have always been working towards something, striving to fit in or striving to sort out my life in some way or another. They saw the little twinkle in my eye that suggested that I was finally… content. My parents, incredibly proud, looked at one another in complete awe. I’m one that never settles, never stops to run on that hamster wheel. And at that very moment, my dad asked: “so what’s next?”

the last 2 decades

Not gonna lie, the last 2 decades of my life has been about acquiring knowledge to apply to everyday life so it everything connects seamlessly. I’ve finally come to the point in my life, for the very first time, where the waters are smooth and I can set sail without a single concern. So, I’m not quite ready yet to throw in another curveball as I know life is just about to begin. I’m going to take this opportunity to make more travel plans, enjoy a cheeky night out, stay up late to watch the sunrise, buy and drink an expensive bottle of wine, and do something I wouldn’t even dare to do. I’m not quite ready to make a list of goals that bring on new challenges just yet. So let’s revel in this for a moment…

CruiseWithKal

It was very natural for me to collaborate with Kaleidoscope again to promote their Cruise collection as it embodies exactly what I was thinking when I booked my trip to Venice (to be enjoyed even after a 2 week holiday). Effortless, chic and ready to celebrate the easiest moments of life… Let’s pause life at the moment and enjoy that feeling contentment for once, shall we?
