I had been meaning to go back to Paris time and again, but things kept stopping me along the way. It’s so easy to get there from London and honestly, I don’t know a single person who has not fallen in love with the city to want to get back immediately. This was a trip of firsts and so this time around, I wanted to treat things a bit differently. Stay in a different part of town, visit new places and evolve my list of favorites.

Usually I stay in Le Marais or at Le Meurice, but this time I thought I would try something different. Go to a boutique and embrace the other side of the Seine. It clearly was a place I had not explored enough of this new area. As we got out of the metro station, I felt like I was in Paris for the first time all over again. Just a brief walk from the station, we were opening the doors of Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauche. There was lots of history to be found of course, but I was enamored with the historical touches that made way into practices today. The keys to the door with the velvet tassels, the paintings on the walls and the exposed bricks. It was rather enchanting really.

We made our way to our room at Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gaucheand since it was all recently renovated it was sparkling. The historical roots celebrated the modern touches and it felt very much like a luxe Wes Anderson film. Every little detail places so perfectly.

The hotel felt like an archive of all typical French and Parisian details. Deep hued carpets, gilded touched, romantic finishes. It allowed for the warmest slumber and the most gorgeous stay.
