What I Wore
dress from TOPSHOP
It’s the simple pleasures that we often take for granted. They become distant things that we either notice its preciousness entirely too late or completely forget about it. The sea has the power to bring serenity. It has been my escape when things get scary and tough. First semester, I would often run to my little space on this very little campus to listen to the waves crash against the rocks. For a while, though, I completely forgot about how perfect that space was. A space to do some thinking, missing and search for creative discovery.
I’ve spent the last several weeks taking full advantage of the North Sea’s beauty and therapy. Long evenings mean long walks with friends, bonfires, a glass of wine. It has been such a treat to call these shores my home this year. It’s, I guess, a bit distressing that pretty soon I will be walking the streets of cities where an escape to natural life is unfathomable.
In case you’re wondering, these photographs were taken on West Sands beach of the beautiful shores of St. Andrews.
