This year has been going by so incredibly fast. It seems like just yesterday we were ringing in the new year, then we greeted spring and now we’re deep into the summer days. Growing up in Florida, I love that summer showers are the norm everyday for at least 15 minutes. They strike at the same time everyday. The summer showers are always thunderous and full of lightening and then they subside and you’ll find the sunshine back again with a rainbow. The pungent smell of the earth is kind of like the end to a long afternoon and the beginning of a lovely summer evening ahead.
I prefer to wear soft cottons, light colors, and simple rolled up sleeves to get me through these summer days. The addition of my Joules rainboots allows me to start splashing through those summer showers and enjoy the puddles. If I don’t feel like frolicking in the summer showers, I prefer to enjoy it through a window and a bit meditation to the pitter patter of the rain.
