a very happy valentine’s day to you…

I’d like to consider myself a fairly easy date. One who prefers conversations and long walks over pretentious meals that most always is accompanied by awkward silences. I’m also one who doesn’t necessarily want flowers and chocolates and jewelry, but prefer to put those resources towards a trip or some sort of experience.

Similar to what I enjoy and how I see myself as a date, I thought I’d put together an outfit that speaks to that. Something sweet and romantic, simple and dynamic. This is my daytime Valentine outfit. Are you wondering why I chose to wear a daytime Valentine outfit? It’s because I prefer the evening of Valentine’s day to be simple and not include getting ready for dinner or heading out. I feel like we all put so much focus on what to expect and then get let down. I know it’s a cynical way at looking at things, but I prefer to head out in the day and then enjoy the evening in. Super simple yet still making a statement!

I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way about Valentine’s Day since so many of my closest friends feel the same. Why don’t you tell me what you think?

By the way, sorry for the wrinkly skirt in my daytime valentine outfit! I’m still trying to navigate taking the tube in these outfits.
