I had high hopes for this blog post. One that included a floral piece juxtaposed with the more modern jewels you see here. J.Lauren pieces with hints of turquoise and rose gold against something in white and edged up with blue floral hues, and a bit of off the shoulder action. I decided to workout my arms and back so the bare top provided something appealing to look at since caloric consumption has been rather high these days with night outs and ticking off one restaurant after another on my gastronomic bucket list.

Going through rack after rack in various shops on Oxford Street and then to Regents Street, trying one dress after another, I found that florals weren’t really working for me anymore. People, I think I’m growing out the stage that are cute floral dresses that I so absolutely loved once upon a time. They were for the conservative, prepped nails, tea-sipping, pinky out type of women in my mind. I know I talk about my style evolution a lot lately, but I feel as if I’ve become a loose cannon as of recently. Taking risks {some stories I dare not share here} and enjoying the late summer weekend nights among the dance floors of various private members’ clubs, my friends ever so accurately decided to label any and all of our plans with #DesaiAfterDark. The work hard and play hard mantra has definitely been executed to the max.

With that said, I decided to go for something “more daring” to match this party girl spirit that has recently {re}ignited. The off the shoulder, light blue hued, gentle silhouette is something that plays on the romantic theme of what we’re used to seeing on the pages of c&é. Look a little further, it’s a jumpsuit, in shorts form. There you have it, ladies and a few gentlemen, bringing out this secret life that I share only on snapchat and expressing it through my wardrobe choice.
