I used to be in a school choir in elementary school and then again in high school. It was one of the highlights of my childhood because I was able to connect and entertain so many, albeit not being able to sing all that well. From there, I always supported music groups in university from the Indian-American university groups like Chi-Town and Penn Masala. It’s a type of talent that I wanted to support, and when I signed up to go to St. Andrews, I knew I wanted to check out The Other Guys!
The Other Guys is an all-male a cappella ensemble from the University of St. Andrews. The group was founded in 2004, and they have become a great representation of the students today! One song that rose to the top this academic year that I’m here is their charity single, St Andrews Girls! We have played it in our dorm hallways over and over again, and I knew it was one song I was looking forward to during their summer concert!
The concert was so fun, intimate, hilarious, and more! It was a great way to take a break from everything before diving into our dissertations.
