♫♪ Amy Winehouse – Valerie - Live in London
This time of the year always seems to slip through my fingers as it goes by incredibly fast. Too fast to be able to stop and breathe. Once my father’s birthday, in the beginning of October, is celebrated then comes a series of Indian festivities and then we’re into the peak of autumn and soon to winter where Thanksgiving and Christmas planning and execution is in full force. Days become longer as the moon defeats the sun and it seems as if there isn’t any time to stop and breathe. But would you have it any other way?
Now that halloween is well passed us, the streets are adorned with bright lights and wreaths and bows. The doorways are ornamented with mistletoe. The cafes are all buzzing with holiday music and sweet treats of peppermint and gingerbreads. I love this time of the year as it gives us a reason to seek warmth with friends and family.
It’s finally cold enough to bundle up. The sun has been peeking through as much as it possibly can. And there is so much holiday rush already and people crowding the shops, but it’s quite nice actually. It’s almost magical. So I’m looking forward to this part of the year.

This weekend I’m just keeping it casual with meeting up with friends, watching a film in bed, working on a few recipes. How is your weekend looking? Hope it’s a lovely one wherever you are!
