This was my second time I visited Jaipur and even at the second visit, the city took my breath away…
It was the most majestic of cities I have visited, even more than Venice really. And when I visited in 2007, I thought I had digested every corner, but clearly I hadn’t if I was so re-inspired. Delhi was wonderful, but it didn’t quite feel like we were in India until I stepped out and saw India’s flag waving so gracefully.
Rajasthan’s capital, it is a purely historical city adorned with colorful palaces and estates and temples. A splendor that boasts its royal past evoking a different pace and another time. And so a little diary of my visit with Swiss line…
A Swiss line Experience…
The city felt so distant from anything that was happening today and I was completely content with that. After a few days in Delhi for India Fashion Week, I needed a bit of a break. Life needed to slow down a bit and my skin showed the instant pollution that had sat on my skin. The Swiss line Cell Shock White regimen was a formula that rid of all the city’s pollutants, quenched the thirst of my skin, depleted sun spots and each nutrient embraced my skin fully brightening it up to mimic the diamonds in the serum.
I started each day with a cleanse of the face and then moved onto the toner that cured each pore fixing the texture and uneven pigmentation. Next was the emulsion the provided a healthier complexion with the assistance of the serum packed with diamond particles that gave that shine. Finally, topping off with the bi-veil that housed SPF to allow my skin to flirt with the sun. Each formula made to embrace the aggressive weather, limit the pollution’s overwhelming nature and caress the future of my travel tired skin. Jaipur was going to be magical…

what to see
At the heart of the modern day busy city sits an old town with a chaotic ebb-and-flow, the City Palace houses the current royal family’s belongings. Depicting stories through natural artifacts, Jantar Mantar is the royal observatory personifying India’s beliefs and advancements in astrology. The honeycomb-like Haha Mahal, once housed the concubines of the statesmen who all could gaze out from the petite windows into the distance to the Amber Fort that stands erect in the arid hill country surrounding the city with beautiful enclaves of mirrors and paintings from vegetable colors. But on a grander note was the Nahagarh Fort that stood above all and was hemmed with colorful windows and murals that danced in the sunlight. And that very sunlight reflects off the water and straight into the Jar Mahal that sits in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Finally, ending the day leaving the city centre and to the Albert Hall Museum that showcases all the historical gems of Jaipur.
