Natural History Museum in London

I visited the Natural History Museum on a day when the sun was not in sight and the sky was overtaken by clouds. A beautifully grey day is normal for London as you may know. So I decided to head over to the Natural History Museum to capture the moody and beautiful architecture that everyone raves about. The striking interior that is equally moody and royal, captured by yours truly with my trust camera! I made a few presets on my Lightroom and thought the Natural History Museum would be perfect to test the preset on.

Have you ever visited the Natural History Museum? After taking some shots of the interiors I ended up spending hours there! It’s a collection of specimens and its affiliating research of carious segments of natural history is housed between terra-cotta laced walls and tiles with details of flora and fauna. An all encompassing feel of a sooty Victorian climate in a quintessential London borough. The Natural History Museum is by far the most beautiful of locations in all of London. One that I frequent quite often on off-days when it’s not too busy. The skylight that peeks overs the unsaturated tiles on the roof drape the dark columns, nooks and hallways with sprinklings of light. It truly was so different from Washington, DC’s and NYC’s Natural History Museum yet still very exciting.

If you’re headed there, then I would check out the Wildlife Garden, Zoology Spirit Building, Earth’s Treasury, Human Evolution, and the main front hall with the dinosaur skeleton! As you walk in, you are absolutely mesmerized and overwhelmed by the sheer size of what old creature. It’s truly an experience to go to London’s Natural History Museum that you can’t ever miss!
