You may have already clocked it, but I’ve been visiting Paris quite often. It’s an easy journey from King’s Cross on the Eurostar, there are always train deals and it’s just nice to get away from London even if it’s just for a day. London can be consuming even if it’s just bloody wonderful here. I wanted to easy myself into the travel again and Paris just seemed like a good idea. It’s always a good idea isn’t it?
This visit, however, was a bit of a flying visit. I craved an city break, but needed to get back in time for some work and personal matter. So we decided literally only 1.5 days cumulatively was only possible and that’s perfectly alright with me… But on this visit, as I was walking around and doing the meander that feel so natural to me, I realized that there were new things I wanted to pursue. So you guessed it, I’m already planning another trip, but with a wishlist in hand.
The Paris Guy Versaille Tour
If you’re looking for a quality Paris guide, you should check out The Paris Guy. Made up of avid travelers and true Paris lovers, The Paris Guy is a a small groups tour company that I heard about when researching a bit about Rome {since they also have The Roman Guy}! Their site has three special tours including visiting the Louvre, Catacombs and even Versailles—all that seem like great fun, you get to skip the lines, they’re very immersive and provide local tips and expert guides.
I want to sign up for this ultimate Paris guide Versailles Palace and Garden tour because The Paris Guy handles everything from transportation, giving you a guided tour {and skipping lines} plus some free time at the end so you can ensure you get all your photographs in of course! I prefer small groups as it becomes intimate, you meet likeminded people and allows they allow for easier accessibility and The Paris Guy books only 12 people for this particular Paris guide.
View from Arc de Triomphe
Yes, a very touristy thing to do, but I feel as if you have to do it just once. Surprisingly enough, I never really got a good aerial shot of Paris yet and given the city is gorgeous, it would be nice to experience that. Paris is gorgeous with its juxtaposition of old and new buildings that date back to the Middle Ages, it would be a shame not to experience this once!
Vesba Ride
I think I would enjoy this in just about any city. When I go to India, I’m always in a tuktuk or vesba to get around and it’s such an exhilarating experience! I think going around Paris on a vesba would equally fun. Honestly, I don’t think I could do it on my own, but wouldn’t mind having a handsome driver in the front!
Kiss Under the Sparkling Eiffel Tower
Call me a romantic, but I had to add this. I’ve seen the Eiffel Tower glisten a dozen times and every time it gives me goosebumps and makes me fall for the city more and more.
Visit the Lourve at Night
After watching The Da Vinci Code, I had been so enamored with the idea of visiting the museum at night. It’s a gorgeous structure with even more gorgeous art and the thought of being there in the quiet of the night seems so tranquil.
